Where Life Grows
Named after my daughter Zoe, who inspires me every day with her strength, independence, hard work, and beauty—inside and out. She's become the amazing woman I always hoped to be.
In 2021, life handed me a moment that changed everything. After surviving a brutal attack, I found myself standing at a crossroads I never expected to face. The person staring back at me in the mirror wasn't someone I recognized anymore.
I watched myself make decisions I knew were wrong—dating people who mirrored old wounds, pushing away everyone who genuinely cared, choosing isolation over connection. The downward spiral included substances I thought would numb the pain but only deepened it. I was self-destructing in slow motion, and I knew it.
Traditional mental health care felt like a luxury I couldn't afford, and even if I could, finding available help nearby seemed impossible. The system that's supposed to catch us when we fall just... wasn't there. And in that moment of complete desperation, I realized something profound: if no one was coming to save me, I had to save myself.
"That's when ZoeBloomes began—not as a business idea, but as a lifeline I was creating for myself while drowning."
I started researching, reading, learning everything I could about trauma, healing patterns, and why we unconsciously recreate pain. Every article I read, every concept I discovered, I added to what would become this app. Building ZoeBloomes became my therapy—not because it replaced professional help, but because it gave me structure when everything felt chaotic.
Through it all, I watched my daughter Zoe grow into this incredible woman—strong, independent, hardworking, beautiful inside and out. She became everything I had always hoped to be. Watching her life bloom and flourish even as I struggled gave me hope. Her name became a reminder: life can grow, even from the darkest soil.
I had to start somewhere. And this is where that somewhere brought me.
ZoeBloomes exists because I know what it feels like to be desperate and alone. To feel like no one understands. To want help but not know where to find it or how to afford it. To carry pain so heavy that words can't capture it—you can only say "I'm broken" and hope someone understands the depth behind those two words.
But here's what I learned: broken doesn't mean beyond repair.
This platform is my way of turning personal devastation into something that might help someone else. If my story—my mistakes, my rock bottom, my slow climb back up—can make even one person feel less alone, then the pain wasn't wasted.

Accessibility
Mental health support shouldn't be a privilege—it's a basic human need
Hope
Recovery isn't linear, but it is possible—I'm living proof
Digital support is powerful, but survivors need more than just information—they need tangible resources.
I experienced firsthand how the aftermath of violence creates a cascade of needs: therapy costs, medical bills, lost work time, relocation expenses, legal fees. The financial burden compounds the trauma, forcing survivors to choose between healing and survival. That choice shouldn't exist.
The ZoeBloomes Survivor Support Fund
Every ad view, every revenue stream from this platform is being directed toward building a fund specifically for women who have suffered from domestic violence or violent crimes. This isn't charity—it's solidarity. It's using what we build here to create real-world change for those who need it most.
The fund will provide:
- •Financial assistance for therapy and mental health services
- •Support for emergency relocation and housing
- •Legal fee assistance for protection orders and court proceedings
- •Resources for rebuilding: job training, childcare support, education
The trauma doesn't end when the violence stops. It echoes through every aspect of life— relationships, work, self-image, trust. True healing requires addressing the whole person, not just the immediate wounds. And that takes resources many survivors simply don't have.
By using ZoeBloomes, you're not just supporting your own healing journey—you're contributing to someone else's chance at recovery. Together, we're building something bigger than an app. We're building a network of support that extends beyond screens and into lives.
Note: Fund disbursement details, application processes, and transparency reports will be made available as the fund develops. This is a long-term commitment to turning collective healing into collective action.
To Anyone Reading This
If you're here because you're struggling, know this: your pain is valid, your feelings matter, and you're not "too broken" to heal. I've been in the darkest places, made the worst decisions, and hurt people I loved because I was hurting.
The path forward isn't about becoming who you were before trauma—it's about becoming who you're meant to be after it. That version is stronger, wiser, and more compassionate than you can imagine right now.
You don't have to have all the answers. You don't have to be perfect. You just have to keep going.
This app is my story of transformation. Now it's here to support yours. Welcome to ZoeBloomes—where life grows. 🌸
Important: While ZoeBloomes provides educational resources and community support, it is not a substitute for professional mental health care. If you're in crisis, please reach out to the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline (988) or contact a mental health professional. You deserve professional support, and it's okay to ask for it.
